Audio/Visual Technician
I. Position Information:
•Reports to: Pastor, United Methodist Church Staff Parish Relations Committee
•This position will provide audio and visual technical support for worship services and ministry at Madison
United Methodist Church
II. Qualifications:
•Effective oral and written communication skills with attention to detail
•Experience working with sound mixers and boards, and basic computer proficiency
•Warm, welcoming, and professional personality
•Willingness to continue developing computer skills and expertise
•Strong Commitment and work ethic
III. Responsibilities:
1) Help manage the audio system, assist with set up and tear down of equipment
2) Work with worship leaders prior to church services to achieve sound quality
3) Operate audio equipment during church services
4) Record worship services and operate live audio
5) Operate computer system for sound and video recording
6) Learn and operate live streaming for Facebook live
7) Learn and serve as back up to Technical Manager
8) Edit the audio equipment for Worship band rehearsals and other Wednesday night activities as needed
9) Complete inventory of sound equipment-organize cords and equipment in designated areas
10) Identify issues and make recommendations about equipment, repair and purchases
11) Assist the tech manager with all aspects of the job duties.
IV. Compensation:
•Determined by the Staff Parish Relations Committee with consultation from the Finance Committee
•Wages paid bi-monthly (15 and last day of the month)
•Requests for Personal Time off need approval of the pastor

•Madison United Methodist Church Staff Parish Relations Committee
VI. Termination of Services:
Should the Office Assistant II wish to terminate this relationship, at least two weeks’ notice shall be given in writing. In order to receive compensation for accrued vacation; vacation time may not be utilized in final 2 week of unemployment. Final compensation including accrued vacation will be paid in the final pay period.
Hours: Approximately 4-6 hours per weekaragraph
